Frequently asked
Straight answers to the things people ask before they call.
How much does therapy cost?
Individual sessions are $150, and couples and family sessions are $175. I’m private pay only, and I work with people on the fee as needed. Fees and insurance.
Do you take insurance?
No. I’m private pay only. Some plans reimburse part of the cost of an out-of-network counselor; your insurer can tell you.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is about helping you feel comfortable enough to open up. You tell Brandon what brought you in and some background, at your own pace.
Is what I say confidential?
Yes, with narrow legal exceptions. What you say in session stays there and isn’t shared without your written permission. The exceptions: Florida law requires me to notify law enforcement if a client makes a specific threat of serious harm against an identifiable person; federal privacy rules allow me to act to prevent a serious and imminent threat to someone’s safety, including yours; suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult must be reported; and a court can order records released. If any of this ever comes up, I’ll talk it through with you first whenever I can.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. In person in Ormond Beach and by secure video anywhere in Florida.
How do I get started?
