Clinical supervision
Supervision for Florida registered interns.
I’m a Florida Qualified Supervisor and have been licensed here since 2013. If you want a supervisor who listens, gives you real feedback and expects you to bring your own ideas, we’ll work well together.
RMHCI
Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns
Individual supervision toward your licensure hours, in person in Ormond Beach or by video, with a supervisor who has spent nearly 30 years in this field.
RCSWI · referral only
Registered Clinical Social Worker Interns
Your hours are supervised by a licensed clinical social worker “or the equivalent” who is a Board-qualified supervisor (§ 491.005). I supervise mental health counseling interns only, but I’ll help you find an LCSW qualified supervisor.
RMFTI · referral only
Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Interns
Your hours are supervised by an LMFT with at least five years’ experience “or the equivalent” who is a Board-qualified supervisor (§ 491.005). I supervise mental health counseling interns only. Reach out if you’d like a referral.
Why supervision matters
In Florida, graduates working toward licensure as a mental health counselor, clinical social worker, or marriage and family therapist register with the Department of Health as interns and complete a period of supervised clinical experience under a Board-approved Qualified Supervisor. The requirements — including who may supervise, how often supervision takes place, and how hours are documented — are set out in Chapter 64B4 of the Florida Administrative Code and Chapter 491, Florida Statutes. Your supervisor signs off on the experience you submit with your licensure application, so the relationship matters well beyond the hour on the calendar.
What supervision with Brandon is like
Supervision with me is a lot like a good therapy session. I listen, I give feedback when it’s needed, and I bring support and clinical interventions to the cases you’re stuck on. I also think encouragement matters, especially early in your career.
Interns do well with me when they’re open to feedback and constructive criticism, and when they come in with their own approach instead of waiting for me to hand them one.

FAQ
Questions from prospective supervisees.
Which intern registrations do you supervise?
I supervise Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns (RMHCIs). Florida law has each intern’s hours supervised by a qualified supervisor in that profession “or the equivalent” as the Board defines it (§ 491.005), so registered clinical social work and marriage and family therapy interns generally work with an LCSW or LMFT qualified supervisor. I’m glad to point you to one.
How much does supervision cost?
Individual supervision is $100 per hour, in person or by video. A written supervision contract is provided before we start.
Do you offer supervision by video?
Yes. Individual supervision is available in person in Ormond Beach or by video.
