Life transitions
Life transitions counseling in Ormond Beach
Divorce, a move, retirement, a new baby, an empty nest. Big changes are where old ways of coping stop working.
When the ground shifts
Even good changes are hard. A move, a promotion, retirement or a new baby can leave you feeling off-balance in ways that are difficult to explain to anyone else. Hard changes, like divorce or a job loss, can make life feel unmanageable fast.
How we work
We focus on healthy coping and a clear next step. That means sorting out what you can control from what you can’t, getting your footing back day to day, and making decisions from a steadier place. I use CBT, DBT skills and mindfulness, and I keep it practical.
This might be you if
- You’re in the middle of a major life change
- You feel unsettled and can’t name why
- The way you used to cope isn’t working anymore
- You’re starting over

FAQ
Common questions
Do I need something to be wrong to come in?
No. Plenty of people come in during a change they chose and still feel thrown by it. If it’s weighing on you, it’s worth talking about.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. I’m a counselor, not a prescriber. If medication might help, talk with your doctor or a psychiatrist; counseling and medication often work well together.
Can I do this online?
Yes. Sessions are available by secure video anywhere in Florida, or in person at the office at 785 W Granada Blvd in Ormond Beach.
Ready when you are.
